Ilushka and Savelle were born into the Atraviani family, a middle class noble family of some standing. The Atravianis are known for their commerce and Lord Atraviani had worked previously as the Minister of finance before a small scandal caused him to have to leave the court. Her and her twin brother, Savelle, were born during a particularly rough winter storm in the year 2226. Ilushka came out first and was mostly healthy. Savelle came out second with his sister’s umbilical cord around his neck, but he miraculously survived.
The first six years of the twins’ lives were mostly uneventful. Twins are considered taboo in Centauri culture for many reasons and so their birth caused a slight stir in the Atraviani family’s social circle, but that soon subsided. Ilushka was raised as any proper young Centauri lady was and was taught various “womanly arts” such as singing, dancing, sewing and how to run a household as a noble lady. She had no great love for any of it but was decent enough at dancing and sewing. She was more fond of arithmetic and economic law - lessons in which her father indulged her in despite that being uncommon for Centauri women.
The twins’ telepathic powers came in at the age of ten. It wasn’t surprising, due to their mother being a seer, and was in fact one of the reasons that their father chose their mother to marry. Savelle was sent away at this time to join a subclass of the Centauri priesthood known as the mortalzi - those who dealt with the dead - while Ilushka continued her education as-is. The twins’ separation caused plenty of bumps and issues with Ilushka, who had just stopped sneaking into her brother’s room to sleep in his bed with him at night, and her behavior began to escalate until the age of twelve when she was threatened to be sent away as well.
Due to her powers, Ilushka was a pretty bargaining chip and was arranged to be married to a member of the higher standing Parvori family. She was engaged to be wed to Aurellio Parvori at age fourteen, him age twelve, and the two of them met for the first time at sixteen and fourteen. They realized they had more things than they expected in common and became fast friends. Their marriage was official when they were twenty and twenty-two, with Ilushka moving out of her childhood home to live with the Parvoris at that age. She became the official seer of House Parvori at that time.
Aurellio and Ilushka realized that they had more in common than they even expected as their marriage has continued to remain unconsummated into their thirties. While they have great love for each other, it is not as husband and wife, and them realizing that they had similar - but opposite - interests has led them to work together beautifully. Ilushka has played the part of a supportive wife beautifully - though most of the stocks, extra land and other economic boons that Aurellio has are in his name only, and are mostly handled exclusively by Ilushka. Due to their combined homosexuality, Ilushka and Aurellio remain childless for now, but she sees no major loss in not having children.
In 2254, Ilushka was reunited with her brother Savelle, who had escaped the priesthood he had been living in since childhood. Savelle stayed with the Parvori’s disguised as a cousin of Ilushka’s despite their obvious similarities. Ilushka watched a spark of something form between her brother and her husband during that time. Three years later, the three of them traveled to the station Babylon 5. It was the first time that Ilushka had been off of Centauri Prime. She spent her time there forming connections with other Centauri - the already good relationship between Houses Parvori and Mollari an unexpected blessing so far away from home. This was also when she met Human telepaths Lyta Alexander and Malcolm Ramseyer. Malcolm was a fast friend and Lyta was a surprising partner. That is, until Lyta became suddenly cagey and distant from Ilushka, who was confused at the hot-cold aspect of their relationship. Despite Lyta coming around again, Ilushka was never entirely sure about her feelings about her, and the two remained distant friends after that.
Ilushka, Savelle and Aurellio stayed on Babylon 5 for a few years after their initial arrival. However, during the rising anti-Centauri sentiments in 2262 due to rumors of Centauri aggression on trade lines, Ilushka foresaw something bad happening to them - specifically Savelle. So they traveled back to Centauri Prime. The Island of Selini at this time had been destroyed during the second Shadow War (which incidentally killed Ilushka’s father, who was one of the Centauri who stayed behind to give the Shadows the appearance of normalcy), but the Atravianis had relocated to the Capital City of the Centauri Republic. However, their timing was poor, and they arrived just before the attacks by the ISA from the Narn and Drazi on Centauri Prime. During the attacks, the newly built Atraviani estate was destroyed, and Savelle was killed. The only thing Ilushka could say for days after the death of her brother was “It’s so quiet.”
Ilushka mourned Savelle for a very long time. Perhaps inappropriately long. She wore mourning clothes for three years past the standard time and spent many years after his death completely isolated. During this time, Aurellio took her back to Babylon 5 as he worked under the new Centauri Ambassador Vir Cotto. Ilushka remained distant and angry after the death of her brother for a long time but Aurellio stayed by her side, the two of them acting far more genuinely as husband and wife than they ever had. She began to reintegrate into regular social activities six years after Savelle’s death.
In 2266, Aurellio and Ilushka travel back to Centauri Prime and adopt their first and only child, Selvino Parvori.
After the death of Emperor Mollari II and the coronation of Vir Cotto, Aurellio and Ilushka also became Lord and Lady of House Parvori. Due to their work with him previously on Babylon 5, Aurellio was not only made a member of the Centaurum but also the Minister of Arts and Culture, while Ilushka was made an official Royal Seer. A few years after that, Human telepath Steven Ramseyer arrived on Centauri Prime, the son of an old friend looking for answers to questions from long ago.
